Dr. Kaufman received his medical degree at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine. After medical school he completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and became board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Upon completion of his internal medicine training he completed a residency in Dermatology at the University of California at Los Angeles. He is board certified by the American Academy of Dermatology and is one of a small group of specialists with board certification in two specialties. Dr. Kaufman was invited to complete a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Surgery at the University of California at San Francisco under the direction of Drs. Roy Grekin and Richard Glogau.
Dr. Kaufman is the Medical Director of The Center for Dermatology Care in Thousand Oaks, California, and is Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine (Dermatology) at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He is a fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery and was elected to the Board of Directors of that prestigious organization. Dr. Kaufman was also nominated and elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, an honor reserved for physicians dedicated to ongoing individual service and contributions to the practice of medicine.
